Ministries & Missions

Our Missions

The Church of the Nazarene began as a mission on the streets of Los Angeles. Today it continues its focus on ministering to the least, the last, the lost. Nazarene Missions International has set four mission objectives in which every local church can participate: Praying, Discipling, Giving and Educating.

By making the mission of the church a priority, our church sends the message that it is passionate about and obedient to God’s call to mission. We believe that churches that are involved in mission attract people who want to be part of something bigger than themselves. Each first Sunday evening, the service focuses on mission education, learning more about what the church international is doing and how we may participate in the mission, locally and abroad.

Our Ministries

In addition to being actively involved in global missions, the church ministers to the local community.  We support a Gideon ministry to the county jail.  A 12-step Overcomers Support Group is available for those who are dealing with life-controlling situations.  In addition, we are actively involved in the Ministerial Alliance and the Center of Life to assist families needing assistance to become self-supporting and help break the cycle of poverty.  We believe we are called to be a holy people and that there can be no holiness without social holiness.
